We had a very successful kick-off to our new program “Thriving as a Manager at Berkeley” with about 100 managers participating! Homa Bahrami, a Senior Lecturer at the Haas School of Business, started us off interviewing Carol Christ, our Interim Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost and Chancellor Designate, about the transitions and challenges happening in our organization right now. Carol fielded pertinent questions from our managers and then Homa gave a presentation on workplace transition. She also facilitated discussions at tables on how to make this information applicable as managers on campus. The session capped off with some folks sticking around to network over drinks at the bar! All in all, a very robust session.
