Growing your career involves focus, perspective, resilience, and yes…skills. It’s good news that those skills and perspectives can be developed. Workshops are available this winter and spring on significant aspects of career-planning and career-communication. Registration is required through the UC Learning Center.
Visit berkeley.edu/careerworkshops for descriptions, and for links to workshop registration pages. You can also register by visiting the UC Learning Center. Log into Blu (http://blu.berkeley.edu), and select UC Learning Center in the Self Service section. Career development workshops are included in the LIBRARY under “Professional Skills and Career Development.” You can also search by class code (BECAR###).
Exciting AND challenging! Both words describe the process of career development. At times, it can be helpful to meet confidentially with a career development professional – to help you incorporate discoveries from career development workshops and other resources, and to work through concerns specific to you.
We are pleased to again offer half-hour career coaching appointments throughout the spring semester. To schedule an appointment, go to https://tinyurl.com/ydxjctyl. There you can see and sign up for an available appointment (held in Suite 192 of University Hall). To make the most of this 30-minute appointment, it’s best to focus on one item. Know in advance what you want to accomplish, and bring pertinent items. A one-time appointment can provide a “jump-start” and direction to additional tools and resources.
